Dr. Hernandez was born and raised in El Paso, TX and had the goal of being a veterinarian since the age of 5. She graduated from Maxine Silva Health Magnet High School where she started her academic career focused on health and animal science curriculum. She went on to complete her Bachelor’s of Science degree from The University of Texas at El Paso. After being excepted to the prestige, Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, she was able to train abroad touring the Czech Republic and Austria for an exotic medicine externship. After graduating in 2017, Dr. Hernandez spent her first year working in Austin, TX at a mix animal hospital. After many years of professional and personal growth and milestones in Austin, TX, she made the decision to return to her borderland hometown of El Paso.
When Dr. Hernandez is away from the hospital, she loves spending time with her 2 children and her furry family members including 3 dogs and cat.
